OUR PROGRAMS
Outreach Families
Funded through the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, our outreach services include crisis counselling, practical support, and advocacy to vulnerable families with children under the age of 18 years in the Deception Bay, Rothwell, Kippa Ring, Mango Hill, North Lakes, Murrumba Downs and Griffin regions.
Education and Employment ‘Orbital’
The Orbital team delivers tailored, individually supported training and education to the D’Bay community for various Certificate 1, 11 and 111 qualifications. Orbital is funded by the Qld Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiative and administered by the Dept of Small Business, Employment and Training.
For Families in Neighbourhoods (FFIN)
FFIN provides free counselling for individuals who are experiencing personal, family, relationship and/or financial issues. Funded through the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy, FFIN covers the regional catchment areas of Deception Bay, Rothwell, Murrumba Downs and North Lakes.
Family & Relationships Counselling
DBNC is a partner in the Moreton Bay Community Consortium. Established in 2005, the consortium is committed to working together to provide counsellingservices to strengthen relationships, support families, improve children’s wellbeing and increase participation in community life.
Financial Resilience
Available by appointment only. Our Financial Resilience programs provide individuals with financial information, money management skills, coaching to help make better financial decisions, and building financial resilience. They provide access to No Interest Loans (NILS), budgeting guidance and strategies to increase income and decrease expenditure. These programs also offer access to a Financial Counsellor who works with the individual and their creditors to negotiate and advocate affordable options for their debts.

SPARK – Find Your Spark
SPARK supports families from the perinatal period through to young people under 18 who may feel disconnected and would like support to make changes.
Our SPARK Link Workers meet with individuals and families to explore what sparks their interests and passions, then walk alongside them to create a personalised “Game Plan”. This might include trying new activities, hobbies, social groups, or opportunities for skill building.
The program is free, flexible, and no referral is needed. It’s all about your plan, done your way.

STEP UP
is an early intervention program for children aged 8–12 at risk of disengagement and antisocial behaviour. Through interactive, trauma-informed group sessions, young people build emotional regulation, accountability, empathy, and connection with others. The program includes structured check-ins, skill-building activities, and guided reflection, with a focus on practical strategies that can be used in everyday life. Referrals only.
