Art Space
Art Space is an after school program for Children within the Community to explore their artistic talents and unleash their creativity!
Encouraging creative outlets in children helps foster imagination, problem-solving skills, and emotional intelligence through creative expression.
This highlights the multifaceted benefits of encouraging creative outlets in children’s lives.
For more information or to register for Art Space call the Centre on (07) 3204 2022 and ask for Crystal or Bruce from our Family Outreach Program. Positions are limited.
Communi-Tea
A community morning tea put on by Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre. Communi-Tea is usually held on a Wednesday, for 2 hours from 10am-12pm. All are welcome but places are limited so registration is required. You will find information for up and coming Communi_Tea events in our ‘What’s On’ newsletter, flyers, and on our Facebook & Instagram @DNC4508.
Student Hub
The Student Hub allows Social Work and Human Services students to complete a holistic and meaningful placement. Students are drawn from various universities including QUT, Griffith and CQU.
School Holiday Program

We offer fun events for young children during the school holidays throughout the year. Kids make new friends and enjoy new experiences with activities that vary each time. These may include outdoor adventures, movies, water parks, museums, games, and lunch.
Caravan Park Social Gatherings
Regular BBQs are held at the local caravan parks helping to foster stronger relationships with young people, older generations and families living in the park. The BBQs provide an opportunity for residents to connects with workers from a range of service agencies while the kids enjoy the activities provided.
